Nintendo Wii

Wii Shop Loading ScreenNintendo's latest console was to be something that no-one could have predicted, eschewing the normal route of console design, the Japanese corporation's newest machine used, not high-definition graphics to sell itself, but a new type of interface. The Wii Remote, a motion sensitive pointer that allowed for games to be much more user friendly than the traditional D-pad and buttons had been in many a year. The Wii is also backwards compatible with the entire library of Game Cube games and many games on the system, will accept either the Game Cube's or the Wii's own Classic Controller as input devices.

Adding to the mix is the WiiWare and Virtual Console services, the latter downloadable games from the older generation of gaming systems, the former being new, smaller scale games made by the companies of today that bypass the traditional retail box and are offered straight for download, after a fee of course (Please note that Virtual Consoles games will be reviewed under their appropriate, original console).
